WE'RE HERE!!

One of my Top Ten Resolutions for the New Year is to finish our 2012 Disney Vacation BEFORE we take our next trip!

I have been purging my stash for a few weeks now and I'm finally starting to notice it.
One of the things I did notice is that I save WAAAY too much paraphernalia from Disney!
Is that even possible??

I have to admit....yes, it is.

I managed to save so many maps, letters, stickers and paperwork that it was taking up way too much space.  So I have made it a goal to purge everything...either use it or lose it.

So here is a page I made with a hidden envelope to hide stuff...lol.
If you can't lose it, hide it!

The Mickey in the bottom corner was cut from a confirmation letter from our resort.
Behind the pictures is my envelope.  I just slipped in a regular manila envelope and used a chipboard piece to keep it closed.

Inside the envelope, I "hid" our brochure explaining how the Magical Express works, and our transportation vouchers, along with the confirmation letter.

Here is a close up:

Quick and simple, but after I chose what I was actually going to use, I got rid of the rest (sigh) and I felt accomplished!
It sure makes the organizing folder seem a little lighter.  :)

And to add to the fun, I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap for my inspiration:

Off to make more room in the stash!

Have a magical day!!

Parade Lights

Good morning!

Or evening....

I pulled out some nighttime pictures from the Electrical Parade!  Love all the bright, twinkling lights and the colorful costumes!

And I used lots of scraps and my circle punch.  I also added some bling from Queen and Co for some added sparkle.
The title also has some fun glitter on it.  :)

Here is the sketch I used from Scrapping Everyday Miracles:

More Smiles...

..as we enter the Magic Kingdom!

I just love this castle so much!  I can never get enough pictures!!

These papers form My Mind's Eye are so pretty!  these are actually from a Boys collection, but they are so versatile.

The flowers are from Prima and are the perfect color for the color palette I used from Color Me Scrappy:

Of course, my picture is a lot more bluer than the palette. :(

And here is the sketch I used from Sketchbook 365:

Where Dreams Come True

I love that even before we officially enter the Magic Kingdom, there are so many amazing photo ops.  Sometimes, it could take us an extra half hour to get inside!

Here we are at the entrance to the park:

I outlined the circle with some buttons.   In between the white buttons are some "Hidden Mickeys".
My title is a rub on from Creative Imaginations.

And this page started out using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

The Castle..part 1

I love taking lots of photos of Cinderella's Castle.  I try to get every angle and every detail.  It seems like every time we go, I always find a new detail to capture.

This time, we found the fountain with this beautiful arch with Cinderella's monogram:

I spray misted a couple of different shaped doilies for the background.  Then I raided the stash for different flowers and some bling.  The title is made from Thickers that I inked in pewter.

And I thought these pictures were perfect for the color palette from Challenge Me Happy:

Have a Magical Day!!

Meeting Mickey!!

Well, so much for doing this in chronological order!  When you hit a speed bump, it's really hard to recover.
I thought I would just have fun with it and post the pages as I finish them.

Here are the kids Meeting Mickey!!

I used a lot of my Queen & Co. washi tape for the ScrapFit challenge #79.
I added one or two strips of ribbon also.

And the sketch I used was from Let's Capture These Sketches #157.

Rainy Day pages

I'm still taking advantage of this rainy day.

I like to take pictures of every step of our trip.
Here is us on the shuttle bus from the parking garage to the airport.

I used sketch #89 from Sketches in Thyme:

And next is a page using this sketch from The Scrappiest #152:

I added some clusters of buttons to look like clouds.  :)

Have a great evening!

A Mickey Photo CD pocket

Good morning all!  It looks like rain on this dreary October morning.  I guess I'll have to stay in and scrap all day.

I needed to have a page in my album where I could keep our photo CD's together.  You just never know when you might want to go back and do some reprinting or add a few more pictures.

Here is a quick and simple idea for a little pocket for the CD's:

I simply grabbed a piece of card stock and scored the sides to make a pocket and added a few stickers.  I know...not that original, but it served it's purpose.  :)

This was for the Special Project challenge at "If It's Groovy".
Stop by and see all the special projects from the DT!
Fabulous ideas and with the holidays coming up quickly, I'm sure you will be inspired.  :)

Have a great Saturday!!!

Let's start the planning!

Well, I was hoping to do this in chronological order, but....

Here are some fun postcards we received wishing us a fabulous vacation.  And I just had to include the planning CD, too.

And all this was done using a great sketch from Paper Secrets....and buttons....gotta have buttons!

We're Going to DISNEY!!

Hi all!!  Wendy here....with a whole new blog!  I take so many pictures when we go to Disney, and I spend so much time scrapping them, I decided to start a blog that is ALL about our Disney trip!

I'll still be using inspiration from all of my favorite websites, they will just be "Disney-fied".

I hope you enjoy our trip as much as we did!

Here is my first page:

I started out with a fun sketch from Brenda at Granddiva's Creative Corner:

I flipped the picture and instead of using flowers, I used some Mickey Head paint chips from Home Depot.  I love that there is just a touch of glitter to so many of the elements.

I am so happy to finally be ready to work on our vacation album!
