Deep Freeze Scrapping!

Since the temps have been waaay below zero, and there is no way I want to leave my house (other than work), I get to knock out a bunch of vacation pictures!!

As always, I get my inspiration from sketches!!

Here is one for Sketch N Scrap:

I used a stitching stamp on the background.

A Few Characters...

With all the kids' sports activities taking up most of my time, I had to force myself to make time for me and my scrapping.  I tend to make myself so tired thinking of everything that we need to do for the kids.  

So I mentally scheduled my day and here is what I was able to accomplish.   :)

Using Sketchabilities #107 - some chipboard gears and lots of ink, paint and mists...

OH happy day off again!!

SCARY!!

While I was still motivated to work on my Disney album, I saw this fun inspirational board from Show Us Your Stuff.

The color combo in the upper left corner just "screamed" Monsters!

This was a lot of fun and took a while.  Everytime I looked in the drawer, I found something else to use.  I made my own deco squares with pics printed off the internet.  I added a little tag I made myself  with some fun papers, fibers and I even used my fastenator!  

My favorite part is the fuzzy fibers I found!  They added just the right touch.

The benefits of being snowed in...

...and the temps being 15 below zero...I can really take a chunk out of my pictures!!  And lots of sketch inspiration!!!

From Child's Play - the Monopoly Challenge.  I used 2 x 2 squares of patterned paper to match the properties on a Monopoly board.

DCWV - Sketch challenge - I used the Habitat Stack:

Lasting Memories sketch challenge.  Glad I stocked up on these pretty flowers from Michael's:

From Scrapping Everyday Miracles - I was able to use 4 pictures!!  WOOHOO!!

And from Sketches with a Twist - I used the sketch and the additional challenge of using handmade flowers.  I used a couple of different flower punches, scrunched them up a bit and added buttons. 

And now the sun is getting ready to go down...This day went by quickly.  With temps predicted to be below zero tomorrow...I just might have more time to play.

We were to use the sketch and supplies to represent the word P-A-R-T-Y.

Here is what I came up with:

I know, I know,...I totally slacked off on this vacation album.  But we had an incredibly busy year, and then the holidays were on us before we knew it.

So back to the album...I am so grateful for sketch inspiration blogs!!
